Privacy Policy

The short version: Sprout watches your posture entirely on your own Mac. Your camera feed never leaves your computer, and we never see it.

Who we are

Sprout ("Sprout", "we", "us") is a macOS app operated by Milan Matic, based in Serbia. Our postal address is Zorana Mišića 1a, 11250 Belgrade, Serbia. You can reach us at hello@sproutposture.app. This policy explains what data the app and our website (sproutposture.app) handle, and what we deliberately do not.

The camera: processed on your device, never sent anywhere

Sprout uses your webcam to estimate your posture. All camera frames and body-position data are processed entirely on your Mac, in real time. We do not record, upload, transmit, or store images or video. We do not store the body-position ("landmark") data either. There is no cloud component to posture detection, and it works with your internet disconnected.

What we actually collect

Your email address — if you join the waitlist or buy Sprout, so we can send your license key, receipts, and support replies. Handled by our email provider, Resend.
Your license key and a random device identifier — sent to our licensing service only to confirm your purchase and activate the app. This contains no posture data. The device identifier is a random ID generated on install, not a hardware serial or anything that identifies you personally.
Payment information — collected and processed by Paddle, our payment provider and Merchant of Record. We never see or store your full card details. See Paddle's privacy notice at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
Update checks — the app periodically asks our update server whether a newer version exists. As with any web request, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may log standard technical metadata such as IP address for security and reliability.

What we do not collect

No camera footage, images, or video — ever.
No posture or body-position data leaves your device.
No analytics, tracking, advertising, or telemetry inside the app.
No account, no password, no profile.

Data stored on your device

Your settings, calibration baseline, streak, and progress history are stored locally on your Mac so the app works. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. Deleting the app removes it.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers needed to run the product: Paddle (payments and tax, as Merchant of Record), Resend (sending your key and support emails), and Cloudflare (serving the website, app downloads, updates, and license checks). We do not sell your data to anyone.

Your rights

Because we hold so little (essentially your email and your license/activation record), requests are simple. You can ask us to access or delete the personal data we hold by emailing hello@sproutposture.app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA; we honor those requests.

Children

Sprout is not directed to children and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date above and, for material changes, note it on this page.
